Written by thousands of hands
AfterMachine has no final image. Every state is provisional. A line may become an axis, a curve may be crossed, a circle may sink into denser matter. No one knows the future form of the whole.
Traces today. Memory tomorrow.
THOUSANDS OF TRACES. ONE ARTWORK. YOURS
AfterMachine is shaped by the people who pass through it. Choose a gesture, adjust its weight and tone, then add your trace to the state left by previous visitors. Once engraved, it joins the artwork’s memory and becomes part of the starting point for whoever comes next.
No account. Choose a gesture, adjust its intensity, draw, then engrave your trace into the collective memory.
Twelve public gestures, endless forms
You are seeing the state previous visitors left behind. The next transformation can be yours.
Memory
Every AfterMachine state can be revisited without changing the living artwork. Memory lets you see what existed at a precise moment and then return to the present.THE PRINCIPLE
AfterMachine has no final image. Every state is provisional. A line may become an axis, a curve may be crossed, a circle may sink into denser matter. No one knows the future form of the whole.
Line, circle, curve, free drawing, polygon, point, star, ellipse, arc, spiral, burst and connection are available, with controlled weight and tone.
The Machine chooses the type of intervention. You choose how to perform it. Once engraved, your contribution enters the shared visual language and may be extended, surrounded or almost buried by later passages.
AfterMachine preserves the succession of its states. You can return to an exact moment, see what existed then, and compare that memory with the present without changing the living work.
The AfterMachine domain was acquired on 18 September 2025. After an earlier life in another form, the project becomes a non-commercial worldwide collective artwork dedicated to creation, memory and connection.
